A woman who made herself look like a zombie version of Angelina Jolie is on a ventilator in hospital after catching coronavirus.

Fatemeh Khishvand, 22, who goes by the name Sahar Tabar, is said to have caught the disease while in prison for alleged cultural crimes, and social and moral corruptions in Iran.

Her lawyers asked for her to be released because of the severity of the outbreak. She is now said to be gravely ill in hospital. Human rights lawyer, Payam Derafshan, told the Center for Human Rights in Iran: ‘We find it unacceptable that this young woman has now caught the coronavirus in these circumstances while her detention order has been extended during all this time in jail.’

Meanwhile Iranian authorities deny that she has the virus, but her lawyer said they had a habit of covering things up.

Sahar Tabar the future fate is still unclear. Details of her treatment are limited.
